We took the bicycles out. Can you believe it? We actually took the accursed bicycles out of the garage and rode them. Granted, I lasted less than a mile, but …. we took the bicycles out. I know, I’m repeating myself. I hope you’ll forgive me but it’s such a phenomenal occurrence that it bodes repeating.
I have no qualms admitting to too much of a sedentary lifestyle. Part of it is laziness, part of it is way too much going on in my head and on my screen – I loathe getting up and leaving it. I’ve learned so much sitting in front of a computer all day that I really don’t want to leave it lest I miss something.
In any case, it was so much fun being out, breathing the fresh air, feeling the wind in my face (even as frozen as it felt to begin with), taking in the scenery in our little faux-rural community … even the burn in my thighs felt good. Invigorating doesn’t quite say it enough. And so hubby says we’re getting up early every morning from now on to do it again and again and again …
Ha! That I’ll have to see for myself.
