I had to run out of the house earlier, to meet a friend who was making me a charm for my e-cig. Well, it’s not exclusively for an e-cig, I can hook it to almost anything. It’s purple (my newest colour love affair), and it has 2 ankh’s dangling off the ends, with a little key and a feather. After I was done squealing in joy, I decided to hang out at Panera Bread for an hour or so and start work on my school assignment. I seem to work better when I am not at home, distracted by countless little activities (like blogging, perhaps?). Besides, I was hungry.
I love Panera Bread because I believe their food is fairly healthy. At least, if it’s a marketing ploy and it’s all untrue, they’ve succeeded in blinding me with it. Not that a big-kid’s grilled cheese sandwich is in any way healthy at all. I “fixed” that by getting an apple with it instead of soup. And added a cappuccino to top it all off. The result?
Well, I forgot to tell them that the cappuccino needed to be soy, and it wasn’t sweet (I know it’s not supposed to be), nor was I able to add my customary dash or two of cinnamon powder. It was the perfect temperature, however, and the sandwich was even better than the last time I had it. Bonus: I actually got 300+ words done out of the 700+ I am supposed to do for this week’s paper.
After an hour, though, it was time to leave. They were getting crowded and I don’t like crowds. Besides, they express the right to be able to boot me if they get crowded enough.
I got home, and all that productivity ran out the door and screaming away into the woods at the end of the drive. On the plus side, though, I managed to pen one of the horrible story snippets that lives in my head. My writing is flowing … I am grateful. I just wish I could focus on my homework …
